South Coventry is a township in Chester County, Pennsylvania. Actually, Coventry
Township adopted the name of North Coventry in 1844 when it divided for a third time,
as the eastern portion became East Coventry Township. Prior to 1844, Coventry was
split the second time in 1841 when the southern part became South Coventry
Township. South Coventry Township is a 2nd Class Township in Northern Chester
County with a population as of the 2010 census of 2604. The Township is a rural
township with a commercial center at the intersection of Routes 100 & 23.
