Londonderry is a township in Chester County, Pennsylvania. Londonderry Township is
a rural community located in the Southern end of Dauphin County, Pennsylvania
between the towns of Hershey and Middletown. Currently consisting of 5200 residents
and over 75 small businesses, the rural appeal has been maintained. Londonderry
Township was officially created in 1734. It is named after the city of Londonderry,
Ireland which is in present-day Northern Ireland. The first settlers were Scotch-Irish
